Aircraft boneyard (we MUST go)!!!!

Had heard of the Aircraft Boneyard before, but didn't realize it was in Tucson. Thanks to visiting Katlyn, she mentioned they were near Tucson!.! So we went to see the more than 4,000 planes, which are out of service now for various reasons.

They picked the desert for the boneyard since dry to reduce dust, and hard desert ground, so doesn't need to be paved. It is within the Tucson Air Force Base. they also take parts off the planes and sell them to commercial business and some for the military.
