Amarillo by Evening

Left Arkansas around 7 am, planning to drive for around 12 hours on the first and 2nd days. so the first night in Amarillo. On the way there we couldn't get the song Amarillo by Morning out of our heads, sometimes that happens though!. But after 12 long hours made it to a hotel near a restaurant and interstate 40 for a morning departure.

Then learned ice and snow were forecasted during the next morning...<img class="yui-img" alt="am4" src="http://images.travelpod.com/users/lettinggo/thumbnail.large.1.1487252255.am4.jpg">

Pic is of the GPS, a LONG way, 840 miles on one road, I-40. Picture is of Rest stop along the way, with a button to click of yes/no if restroom was acceptable. We each picked the opposite to see if anything happened, it didn't! <img class="yui-img" alt="AM2" src="http://images.travelpod.com/users/lettinggo/thumbnail.large.1.1487252255.am2.jpg"><img class="yui-img" alt="AM5" src="http://images.travelpod.com/users/lettinggo/thumbnail.large.1.1487252255.am5.jpg">

Drive took us from Arkansas, to Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and then into Arizona.
