A Tale of two Grand Canyons!!

Last year we went to the North Rim just as it was closing, so the hotel was closed and only the campground was still open for a few more days. It was lovely fall days with leaves, no crowds, and beauty of Grand Canyon. We didn't get a sticker for park since it was closed so would try later.

Now we went to South Rim in Spring Break. Oh my. 4 parking lots were full, had to park 3 miles from visitors center and take shuttle bus to visitors center to get sticker. Got sticker, then took short walk along the rim back to van. So many tourists, standing in line to stand on a rock for picture, standing on rock they can easily fall off of just for Facebook! come on people. And then the model-ish girl with the tall high heels and designer handbag at a park?

Definitely be one of the only 20% of people who visit North Rim if you can instead of South Rim. Much harder to get to, from Utah, or 5 hr drive from South Rim, even though only 15 miles apart.

For sure, yes that last one of Brenda is in the North Grand Canyon. The others are in the South Grand Canyon. They are totally different. If you can visit the North GC, only 20% of people visit there better views, less crowded.!

Sadly, as I'm from Australia, I don't think I will ever be back there, at least I can view photos of what I missed.
