Under-advertised place that over-delivered!!

Wow! that is all you can say about Canyon de Chelly!

One of the most remote & extremely beautiful canyons we've seen. Probably because it is within the center of the Navajo Nation. Maybe it is less promoted/visited, and the national parks picture is kind of a boring cliff dwelling, of which AZ has a lot! But the key draw is the canyon!!.

Other than the 6 overlooks, and 1 trail down to cliff house, you must hire a Navajo guide to escort you. This is probably a good thing considering the disrespect most tourists have. Our pictures don't do it justice of how beautiful the red canyon walls, against the green farm fields are.
