Near Clingmans Dome is a section of the Appalachian Trail. It's well known in the US & a hiking goal for many hikers. We did hike about 4 miles on it. Not quite the whole 2,000 miles, but still we did hike the AT !
The Appalachian Trail or simply the A.T., is a hiking trail in the Eastern US between GA & Maine. The trail is about 2,200 miles long.
