Ford Theatre (Where Pres. Lincoln was killed)

View Denzil & Brenda Eastern US Travels on Vanabout's travel map.

Went to visit the Ford Theatre (where Abraham Lincoln was assassinated) by John Wilkes Booth. It is still open for plays? But it was historic to see the booth where he was sitting and the events of the day for each person. Next door is the house where he died, & also a Lincoln Leadership Memorial.

Very interesting as all parties and leaders still quote Lincoln all these years later. He was way ahead of his time for sure. Moving quote of Abraham Lincoln's... "Those who deny freedom to others, deserve it not for themselves, and under a just god, can not long retain it"
