Mackinac Island no cars allowed, so ride horse to Starbucks!

View Denzil & Brenda Eastern US Travels on Vanabout's travel map.

A small island, less than 500 people, yet tourists of 14k per day. Industries of tourism & fudge. Need to take a ferry to island, then bicycle, walk, or take a horse carriage around island. Horses were doing everything. From garbage to FedEx ,tourists & workers. 90 degrees when we were there. Most workers are already gone home. Island ships almost all horses off the island in Winter elsewhere to rest.
