Driving on the sand, not a good idea LOL

Campground was almost full. Luckily we found a spot. Cape Blanco is Westernmost spot on paved road in lower 48.

Very brisk weather but feels great to hike in. Just as we walked to the beach saw two women with vehicle stuck in sand. They were trying to get driftwood for fires. Luckily we have experience pushing cars out of snow & put it to good use to help them.

We went on and found the most abandoned beach yet. Lots of tidepools and creatures. Denzil climbed a tall sand dune, then we walked to beach end, and climbed steep ravine to lighthouse point. Very steep and trick climb, but the view from top, and accomplishment was worth it.

Rewarded ourselves with local pizza and arrived back to sunset and working lighthouse light!.
