Earthquake warning & #1 in Pollution, let's go

Brakes were new in Crescent City, but with extensive Mountain driving they kept smelling like they were burning. Closest chain store was in Bakersfield, CA.

Turns out there are around 300k people there. And it has terrible air quality, worst murder rate by the police, but at least there is now internet, shower, and cell service. And the brakes checked out fine.

While we were there we found out Salton Sea which we planned to visit near LA has had 300 small earthquakes and put the rest of S. Cal. on earthquake watch, and then we found out that included Bakersfield, where we are. When you are traveling, you don't often know what county you're in.

Hotel was right next door to Buck Owen's Crystal Palace (he was a country star), so we went there and they had a country band playing and dancing was nice, like House of Blue style.
