Last part of the Lower 48 to get mapped out

Hwy 12 is a Scenic Byway through Utah. Very remote. this area was the last part to be mapped out in the Lower 48 in US.
No wonder there are hardly any cars and cell phone service is non-existent Verizon, for hundreds of miles. That's just the phone, data is zero bars.
The CCC built the road in the depression using dynamite and huge amount of manual manpower.
