Spanish Mission from 1692

Toured the Mission. It was built in 1692. Amazing design quality and beautiful mission.

They have masses still each Sunday.

(ps Debby, there weren't any brochures in the back.)

Inside tour of the Titan Missile Silo !!!

Had a unique tour from Museum Director, (she was also former commander of Site from 1983-1985. Her tour had unique info about crew's daily routine, life, and constant readiness state. One interesting thing she said is the missile program was created as a deterrent. It was to be used in retaliation. therefore if it ever was launched, the mission of deterrence had failed. from their info: The Titan Missile Museum, a preserved Titan II missile site, officially known as complex 571-7, is all that remains of the 54 Titan II missile sites that were on alert across the United States from 1963 to 1987. Able to launch from its underground silo in just 58 seconds, the Titan II was capable of delivering a 9-megaton nuclear warhead to targets more than 6300 miles (10,000 km) away in about 30 minutes. Nowhere else in the world can visitors get this close to an intercontinental ballistic missile in its operational environment.

Nogales to visit Family

Stopped in Nogales to see Denzil's granddaughter, Katlyn. Was so nice to see her again, and in her first year of teaching she has so many neat stories of funny things that young kids say and do :)

On way to Nogales, AZ

Stopped in Tucson on way to see Denzil's granddaughter, Katlyn, in Nogales, AZ. She is a school teacher there.

Lots of things to see in Tucson, so will stop back by there again after Nogales. Funny to see KOA pool sign that said 'Pool open October 1 - May 1'. Opposite of IL. ! :)

Visit to Brenda, AZ

Noticed town called Brenda, AZ after Quartzite, so stopped by there. Unfortunately it's a broke down almost ghost town, so you can stay there at the 'Brenda RV park' for only $850 for entire Winter. LOL.
